How to request repeats
You can request repeat prescriptions through your GP surgery, the NHS App where available or another approved online service.
Once Care Pack Pharmacy is your nominated pharmacy, prescriptions issued by your GP can be sent to us electronically.
Repeat dispensing
Some patients may have repeat dispensing arranged by their GP surgery. This allows a batch of repeat prescriptions to be issued in advance for regular supply.
If repeat dispensing has been arranged for you, Care Pack Pharmacy can help make the supply process clearer and easier to manage.
Electronic prescriptions
Most prescriptions are sent electronically from your GP surgery to your nominated pharmacy.
Once Care Pack Pharmacy is nominated, prescriptions issued for you can be sent to us securely so our team can dispense and arrange supply.
Urgent repeat medicines
If you urgently need repeat medication outside normal opening hours, NHS 111 may be able to help in clinically appropriate circumstances.
If you are unsure what to do, please seek advice from NHS 111 or the relevant urgent care service.
Checking your medicines
When you receive your medicines, please check that the items are what you were expecting.
If anything looks different, is missing or you have medicines you no longer need, contact our pharmacy team for advice.
Unwanted medicines should be returned to a pharmacy for safe disposal.

How repeat prescriptions work
If you take regular medication, your GP surgery may issue repeat prescriptions so you do not need a new appointment every time.
To make things easier, nominate Care Pack Pharmacy first, then use the BeWell app to request repeats and keep your medicine details up to date where available.
Once your GP issues your prescription and Care Pack Pharmacy is your nominated pharmacy, it can be sent to us electronically for dispensing, checking and delivery where appropriate.

Please request repeat medicines in good time, allowing your GP surgery to review and issue the prescription and our pharmacy team to dispense, check and arrange supply.
If you need something urgently, contact our team for advice. For urgent health concerns, seek appropriate urgent care support.
If your medication changes
If your GP changes your medicine, strength or dose, our team will dispense from the prescription we receive.
If something does not look right or you are unsure about a change, contact our pharmacy team before taking the medicine.
